Job Description
Our outpatient vascular surgery practice in Santa Maria is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is organized, bilingual, and experienced in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty setting. Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for exams Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and current medications Perform light wound care and dressing changes as directed Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals for procedures and imaging Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms and clinical supplies Support patient scheduling, charting, and communication in the electronic medical record (EMR) Provide excellent patient service and assist with front or back office tasks as needed Qualifications At least 2 year of experience in an outpatient or surgical specialty setting preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish required Certification as a Medical Assistant not required Experience with insurance authorizations and EMR systems preferred Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.
