We are open for business from: 8 am to 5 pm SUMMARY Assists with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic/department hours. Provides backup support for the team, which includes all functions of medical assistant workflow and responsibilities. Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Monitors and maintains infection control and safety requirements, procedures, and standards. Performs all duties under the direction of a physician with a direct reporting line to the Clinical Supervisor, within the scope of practice. Use methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions, identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options, and build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct and indirect support to Provider in the delivery of patient care. May support Supervisor in training new staff. General knowledge of various medical procedures, views, and equipment. Performs/implements orders for diagnostic tests. Completes documentation and enters orders into the electronic health record according to protocols and as instructed by the supervising Provider/NP. Arranges outside referral appointments and provides patient education. Consults frequently with the Clinical Supervisor and supervising Provider/NP. Performs and is knowledgeable in lab procedures and processing specimens. Assists with ordering tests, labs, x-rays, scans, and taking off physician orders. Performs technical workups and patient interviews, including history documentation. Documents all medical information in appropriate fields in EMR during visit in coordination with Provider; double-checks immunization information into Epic registry. May provide health education to patients. Participate in quality assurance activities to monitor and improve patient care quality. Greet visitors and patients in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance and direction as needed. Receive and process patients, following intake protocols using electronic health/practice management software: o Confirm DOB o Address and phone number current o Insurance o Appointment time o Provider Ensure that patient will be taken at time of appointment If provider is behind schedule, communicate this to the patient o Confirm completion of PROMIS 29, ORT, and PPMM o Assist patients in completing forms Schedule the next appointment upon patient exit. Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in handling patient information.
Possible Duties:
VSAT (VS Diagnostics) Responsibilities Cross-train in the operation of the VS Diagnostics platform, assisting with daily use and basic troubleshooting as needed. Learn to collect, organize, and manage diagnostic data accurately and confidentially, following HIPAA and clinic standards. Support patient preparation for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain detailed records of diagnostic tests and outcomes. Support coordination of the VSAT schedule, including patient outreach and appointment setup. Provide cross-coverage and support across departments or providers as needed to maintain smooth clinic operations.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, experience and/or abilities required. 2 plus years' experience in EPIC. Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to speak to patients with respect. Excellent care and empathy when dealing with our patients. Excellent organizational skills. At times are able to work under stressful conditions to meet unpredictable time demands. Must pay attention to detail. Possess strong organizational skills and be proactive. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using electronic health records, EPIC. 2 to 3 years' medical office experience preferred. Certified Medical Assistant, valid certification.
REQUIRED
: 2 plus years' experience in EPIC. High school diploma or equivalency. Reading, math and writing skills with ability to pay attention to detail. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMS. Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with patients, management, peers, and others. Possess strong organizational skills and be proactive. Must be a person of high integrity and commitment and possess a strong work ethic. Ability to manage tasks and complete them in a timely manner. Must have reliable transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to bend and move arms with sufficient range of motion to complete patient related requirements, hearing required for patient assessments, may need to assist patients onto exam table, able to lift 30 lbs., bend, kneel and twist as needed. Prolonged standing and occasional sitting required. Must be able to perform the essential duties with or without accommodations. Basic office and equipment safety knowledge and practice.

: Clean driving record. Successfully pass a criminal background check.
