Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to support both back office (clinical) and front office (administrative) operations. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both patient interaction and clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Office Duties:
Greet and check in/check out patients Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars Verify insurance and collect co-pays Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Back Office Duties:
Prepare patients for examination and procedures Assist providers with dermatologic treatments and minor procedures Take patient histories and document in EMR Perform basic clinical tasks (vitals, injections, suture removal, etc.) Sterilize instruments and maintain exam room cleanliness Educate patients on treatment plans and aftercare instructions
Qualifications:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or dermatology setting (preferred) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with EMR systems Professional, friendly, and patient-centered attitude
