Position Details:
Energetic, self-starter who can work independently and contribute to team environment if patient volume is slow Feel comfortable in a range of settings: small group office and large group organizational setting Flexibility in shifts to develop and manage patient panel Front Desk duties will include but are not limited to: Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error Scheduling appointments Reviewing patient registration forms for accuracy and completeness Verifying insurances and requesting co-payments Back Office duties will include but are not limited to: Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and organized Taking patient chief complaints, vitals, and assisting with laboratory related tasks Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed Giving vaccinations/injections, performing vision tests, audiograms, and EKG's, blood draw
Requirements:
Experience as a medical assistant/receptionist preferably in an Urgent Care and Occ Med setting preferred Knowledge of medical terminology Electronic Medical Records proficiency; Experity Preferred The desire to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to communicate clearly and effectively •Compensation based on experience•
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
License/Certification:
