In this role, you will support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately. Prepare patients for examinations, including explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with safety protocols. Support physicians with dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical procedures, ensuring all documentation is precise and complete. Manage medical records, including charting in EMR/EHR systems, ICD coding, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Conduct patient education on medications, treatments, and health management strategies based on physiology knowledge and medical terminology expertise. Assist with hospital or inpatient procedures when necessary, including OR support or Level I/II trauma center protocols. Requirements Prior experience in medical office settings with proficiency in medical administrative support and medical office management. Knowledge of dermatology, emergency medicine, geriatrics, or medical-surgical environments is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management to ensure accurate documentation. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support patient care activities effectively. Inpatient experience or hospital experience preferred; experience at Level I/II trauma centers or emergency medicine settings is advantageous.
