The Medical Assistant will support providers in delivering high-quality patient care and ensure an exceptional patient experience. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a professional, customer-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Take and record vital signs, patient history, allergies, and current medications. Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies according to protocols. Follow post-treatment care protocols and educate patients on aftercare instructions. Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety guidelines. Support in minor clinical procedures as directed by licensed providers. Patient Experience & Administrative Duties Greet patients and ensure a warm, welcoming environment. Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling, follow-up appointments, and reminder calls. Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR). Answer patient questions and provide treatment education with professionalism and confidentiality. Support front desk staff with check-in/check-out as needed. Operations & Compliance Maintain stock of medical supplies and treatment room cleanliness. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards. Assist with quality improvement and training initiatives. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification. Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience. Preferred Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Work Environment Clinical environment with direct patient contact. Requires standing, walking, and assisting patients for extended periods.
