As the Medical Assistant II (MA2) you will play a crucial role in patient care by supporting physicians, nursing, and technical staff. You will take vital signs, update medical histories and prepare patients for examinations. Our MA2 will manage patient flow and set up examination rooms, ensuring efficiency and readiness for appointments. Additionally, you will communicate important clinical information, serve as patient advocates and handle designated clinical care telephone interactions. Rotations to additional imaging locations required.
Salary Range:
$26.79
  • $35.36/Hourly Qualifications Please be sure to list all necessary licenses/certifications on your application and resume. Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a secondary, post-secondary or adult education program
  • Required BLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • required At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant within a large healthcare system
  • preferred Familiarity with EPIC (EHR/EMR system)
  • preferred Ability to obtain accurate vital signs Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomatology and life-threatening medical problems Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals with compassion Ability to administer CPR.
Ability to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications Ability to obtain accurate vital signs and drug refills. Ability to assist in medical emergencies and office procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to use computerized patient care systems Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, ancillary departments, physicians and co-workers in a courteous manner. Ability to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate a smooth workflow. Knowledge and ability to set up and assist physicians with procedures. Ability to work overtime in case of emergency.
