Our team of Functional Medicine Providers, a Nurse Practitioner, Naturopathic Doctor, and a Nutrition Therapy professional / Health Coach takes a whole-person, root-cause approach to care. Our environment is calm, collaborative, and deeply intentional. About the Role This is a hybrid clinical and administrative support role. You'll work closely with our providers and front desk to keep the clinic running smoothly while delivering an exceptional, warm patient experience at every touchpoint. This is a full time position -- salary + benefits (Health insurance stipend, PTO, CEU reimbursement, 401K, supplement discounts, etc. available in your benefits package) What You'll Do Assist providers with compounding pharmacy prescriptions — calling in and coordinating prescriptions on behalf of providers, managing refill coordination, and fielding patient questions about compounded medications Support patients with specialty/take-home lab kits (e.g., stool, DUTCH, organic acids), including collection instructions and kit prep Perform venipuncture and blood draws ; prepare, label, and process specimens for routine blood labs (ideally, okay to apply if you are a Medical Assistant but not a phlebotomist) Assist the front desk with supplement and herbal product orders — pulling, logging, and preparing orders for patients Answer patient questions about supplements, herbs, and protocols in alignment with provider guidance Provide a warm, grounded, and reassuring patient experience Manage phlebotomy supply inventory and coordinate with Quest Diagnostics and functional medicine partner labs Support general clinic flow through administrative tasks as needed Virtual patient "rooming" to prepare for clinician visits (medication, supplement, lab and pharmacy selections). Sending in patient lab orders per Provider orders, as well as referrals. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) — required Current Phlebotomy Certification (CPT, RPT, or equivalent) — preferred, but not required 1-2+ years of experience in an integrative, functional, or holistic medicine setting preferred Strong communication skills , warmth, and ability to educate patients calmly and clearly Dependable , punctual , and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Nice to Have Familiarity with specialty/functional labs: Rupa Health, Genova, DUTCH, Diagnostic Solutions, etc. Working knowledge of supplements and/or herbs; comfortable fielding basic patient questions Experience with Cerbo EHR Herbal or botanical training Background in root-cause or systems-based care Experience in a cash-pay practice setting Functional medicine exposure or training How to Apply We kindly ask that you skip the Indeed "Easy Apply" button — we want to hear from you directly.
