Partners in Pediatrics is seeking an experienced Lead Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant Supervisor who is passionate about patient care, team development, and operational excellence. This leadership role oversees back-office operations across two pediatric clinic locations and plays a key role in developing staff, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. We are looking for a seasoned Medical Assistant who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys coaching others while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The Lead Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant Supervisor serves as a trusted clinical and operational leader who partners closely with providers and leadership to support workflow consistency, staff development, and practice growth. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day back-office operations across two office locations to ensure consistent clinical workflows and patient care standards Supervise, schedule, coach, and support Medical Assistants, including onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development Manage vaccine inventory, ordering, storage, handling, reconciliation, and compliance according to established protocols and regulatory requirements Serve as front line support for any refrigerator/freezer temperature excursions Develop, maintain, and implement back-office policies, procedures, and workflow standards Support clinic operations by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting histories, and assisting providers as needed Assist providers with examinations, patient education, immunizations, medications, and point-of-care testing Manage clinical workflows, patient messages, refill requests, referrals, and follow-up care coordination Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) Support quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement, staff development, and operational excellence Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office setting with demonstrated leadership responsibilities , such as supervising staff, serving as a Lead Medical Assistant, training team members, coordinating workflows, or managing clinical operations Medical Assistant certification, or equivalent clinical experience Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pediatric or medical office environment Demonstrated experience coaching staff, managing workflows, and supporting daily clinic operations Ability to travel between office locations as operationally needed Preferred Pediatric or primary care experience Experience with vaccine programs, inventory management, and regulatory compliance Experience developing or implementing clinical policies and procedures Experience working across multiple clinic locations The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a leader who: Leads by example and takes ownership of team performance Builds strong relationships with patients, families, providers, and staff Is dependable, adaptable, and solutions-oriented Can effectively prioritize and manage responsibilities across multiple locations Values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement Enjoys mentoring and developing others Takes pride in creating a positive, high-performing team culture Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid time off and paid holidays 401(k) retirement plan Supportive leadership team and collaborative culture Opportunity for professional growth and advancement About Partners in Pediatrics Partners in Pediatrics is an independently owned and operated pediatric practice that has proudly served Colorado families for nearly 50 years.
