This position works directly with our physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to provide exceptional care to patients with spine, joint, hand, upper-extremity, and other orthopedic conditions. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty clinic, and able to provide a high level of patient service while keeping providers and clinic operations running efficiently. Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for evaluation by the provider Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and current symptoms Review and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and in-office procedures Prepare exam and procedure rooms before and after patient visits Assist with injections, dressing changes, suture or staple removal, and other clinical procedures within scope and training Coordinate X-rays, MRI, CT, laboratory testing, and other diagnostic services ordered by providers Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and communication with pharmacies and outside facilities Provide patients with instructions regarding medications, testing, procedures, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans as directed by the provider Respond to patient messages and telephone calls and appropriately route clinical questions to the provider Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the EMR Maintain appropriate inventory of clinical supplies and notify leadership when supplies need to be reordered Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain a professional clinical environment Assist with clinic flow to ensure patients are seen efficiently and providers remain on schedule Work collaboratively with scheduling, imaging, surgery coordination, and other Nadora Healthcare departments Follow HIPAA, infection-control, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed to support the practice Qualifications & Experience Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred Orthopedic, spine, surgical, or specialty-clinic experience is strongly preferred but not required Medical Assistant certification or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or ability to obtain upon hire Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medications, and basic clinical procedures Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and coworkers Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a busy clinical environment Comfortable working with patients who may have significant pain, limited mobility, or complex orthopedic conditions What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates well, and understands that excellent patient care depends on the entire team. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
