Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with a preferred schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We understand flexibility is important and are happy to work with candidates to create a schedule within our operating hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is included.

Executive Director Position Overview:
Spectrum's Nursing Department provides medical and administrative support to our clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, receiving Home and Community Based Medicaid Services. We are looking for a highly organized medical assistant to support our nursing department in delivering high-quality, compliant care for our clients. This is an office-based role focused on providing administrative and care coordination support to the nursing team and does not perform clinical assessments, nursing interventions, or independent clinical decision-making.
Job Duties:
Review, organize, and file medical information received from community providers and notify the nursing team of updates. Assist the nursing team with communication regarding medication changes between physicians, pharmacies, and service providers. Assist with formatting, maintaining, and updating medical protocols, treatment plans, and standing orders as directed by the RN. Maintain and update Medication Administration Records (MARs) based on approved physician orders and nursing direction. Assist with ordering medical supplies for individual clients. Organize, maintain, and track health-related documentation to ensure compliance with state and Medicaid regulations. Collaborate with the RN, LPN, and other team members to ensure timely submission of required medical forms and reports. Support the preparation and tracking of health assessments, medication records, and annual care plan reviews. Maintain confidential health information in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Monitor deadlines for recurring documentation and notify the nursing team of upcoming requirements. Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Current Medical Assistant certification required; CNA certification may be considered with relevant healthcare administrative experience. Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation standards Strong writing skills. Excellent written communication and organizational skills Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and computer literate Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Preferred:
Familiarity with Medicaid waiver programs Experience writing or formatting medical protocols or care guidelines Experience working in a medical office, residential health program, or public health organization Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at the computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
