Physician and Practice Manager Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy ENT practice. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients, helping ensure efficient office operations and excellent patient care. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Assist physicians with ENT examinations, treatments, and minor office procedures. Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and examination rooms. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Administrative Duties Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and authorizations. Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally. Process prescription refill requests and communicate with pharmacies. Manage medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Assist with inventory management and ordering medical supplies.
Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent). Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures, is helpful. Experience with EMR systems. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and a strong teamwork approach. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity to operate medical equipment and perform clinical tasks.
