Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical care and patient flow in an ambulatory care setting. The primary responsibilities include patient rooming, vital sign collection, medication reconciliation, and administrative tasks using EPIC. Key Responsibilities Efficiently escort patients to exam rooms, maintaining a professional and welcoming clinic environment. Accurately record patient vital signs and primary complaints. Reconcile current patient medications and update allergy profiles within the EHR. Utilize EPIC to maintain accurate patient records and manage daily schedules. Proactively request external imaging and upload reports/disks to ensure complete data availability. Manage approximately 100 calls per week for chart preparation and patient inquiries. Review upcoming schedules to ensure all records, labs, and imaging are ready before patient arrival. Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification BLS - American Heart Association (AHA) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Skills Technical skills: EPIC experience preferred Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
