Supportive Team & Growth Opportunities Responsibilities:
Obtain medical histories and record vital signs and ensuring comfort during visits Provide medical administrative support, including patient intake and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Prepare patients for exams and obtain appropriate testing (capillary testing and venipunctures) to support providers Assist providers during examinations and procedures Perform phlebotomy, process lab tests, and obtain test/referral authorizations Administration of injections/medications and immunizations Handling of other patient specimens and run testing accordingly Set up exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and stock supplies Schedule patient appointments Handle phone calls for prior authorizations, prescriptions, and lab/test results Process faxes/faxed reports, orders, and referrals Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in charts Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient serviceQualifications & Skills:
✔ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)- Required ✔ 2-3 years of experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate!) ✔ Excellent communication skills
- Ability to take medical histories, follow provider instructions, and document information accurately ✔ Strong multitasking & problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment ✔ Culturally sensitive
- Comfortable working with ethnically diverse populations ✔ Basic computer & phone skills
- EHR experience a plus ✔ Ability to work flexibly and cross-train within scope of duties ✔ Professionalism & confidentiality
