Medical billing Clerical experience Full Job Description We are looking for talented, dedicated Medical Assistants (MA) to join our team. The MA provides outstanding support to physicians and healthcare providers while providing exceptional care to patients and customers within the clinical scope of an MA. The Medical Assistant ensures that patients are welcomed in a warm and friendly manner and sees that their needs and expectations are met. Medical Assistants are responsible for performing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter. This role will also require front desk coverage. Key Responsibilities Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow and waiting room experience Assists with front and back office duties Prepares patients to be seen by physicians Collects vital signs and testing as required by the healthcare provider. This includes, but is not limited to, - patient assessment, vital signs, urinalysis/body fluid specimens, EKG's, along with documentation, faxing, copying, and mailing records, completion of forms, scheduling of tests for patient. Communicates patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider Timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks Maintains cleanliness of clinic areas, exam rooms and medical implements before and after patient use Responsible to set up exam rooms and stock with up to date required supplies for patient care Participates in meetings and training as required. Ensure and uphold the confidentially requirements of all patient records, and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, and the clinical policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security. Performs other duties as determined by the Practice Manager Requirements Include High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year clerical and clinical experience required. Previous experience with registration, medical records and payors preferred. Able to accommodate flexible work hours to meet the needs of the practice. Full-time position- Monday - Friday and some weekends required. Preferable eCW knowledge, but not required.
