The medical assistant will work in our Essex, Madison, Hamden, Branford and Wallingford offices. The hours vary between 8:00am and 5:00pm. What a medical assistant will have the ability to do… Play a lead role in the administrative responsibilities of a physician team Connect with the patient. From scheduling to insurance coordination and more, this position plays a key role in the care process and patient experience Practice communication and planning skills by coordinating with physicians, clinical MAs, surgical centers, X-ray staff, etc. Utilize and grow EMR skills by documenting patient information, reviewing and distributing test results and executing necessary pre-op documentation Skills and abilities that a medical assistant should possess… Surgical scheduling preferred A knowledge of EMR systems A positive attitude and friendly, courteous demeanor Strong written and verbal communication Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements Education and experience needed… A high school diploma Experience working with an EMR (EPIC Preferred) Two (2) or more years of medical administrative experience What we offer: Competitive salary, 401(k) contributions, and company-paid life insurance.
