We're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our clinical support team and help us continue providing excellent care to our patients and families. Position Summary We're seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to provide 1:1 clinical support to our providers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced pediatric setting and wants to grow their clinical skills, including vaccine administration. Key Responsibilities Room patients and prepare exam rooms for well-child, sick, and newborn visits Take accurate pediatric vitals and growth measurements (weight, height/length, head circumference) and plot growth percentiles Administer childhood and adolescent vaccines under provider supervision, following the CDC/AAP immunization schedule (training provided per Connecticut requirements) Support fall flu vaccine clinics Assist with developmental screenings and basic procedures as directed by providers Comfort working with the full pediatric age range, from newborns through adolescents Help calm and prepare anxious children for exams, vaccines, and procedures using age-appropriate, kid-friendly techniques Communicate clearly and warmly with both parents/caregivers and young patients Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and front desk to ensure smooth patient flow Qualifications Certified or registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred Pediatric or family practice experience a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right candidate Willingness to complete Connecticut-required vaccine administration training (24 hours classroom + 8 hours vaccine-specific) Strong communication skills with both children and parents/caregivers Patience, warmth, and a calm, reassuring presence with anxious or upset young patients Reliability and a collaborative, team-first approach Comfort in a fast-paced outpatient setting What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Supportive, experienced team environment, with hands-on mentorship from our current MA team Opportunity to grow with a practice investing in its future [Insert benefits: health insurance, PTO, retirement, etc.]
