Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Student Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about patient care and medical terminology while contributing to the overall efficiency of our healthcare services. Candidates must be able to devote 8-12 consecutive months to this externship experience. A start and end date will be agreed upon by Management and candidates. Responsibilities Assist healthcare professionals in daily tasks related to patient care and administrative duties. Help maintain a clean and organized environment in accordance with safety protocols. Engage with patients and families to provide information and support as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Document patient interactions and assist with data entry as required. Qualifications Current enrollment in a relevant academic program or coursework related to healthcare or medical fields. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as part of the hiring process. This position offers valuable experience for those pursuing a career in healthcare while contributing positively to patient outcomes.
