IMMEDIATE
opening for full-time Certified Medical Assistant at the Dept of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS). Specific tasks and duties include but are not limited to the following: Greet and log in patients arriving at the clinic. Interview patients to obtain demographic and medical information. Develop the medical record (both hard copy and electronic) and confirm Medicaid eligibility and insurance provider. Obtain vital signs, weight, and height. Assist NP with physical examinations, as requested. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Prepare and perform minor laboratory testing. Administer injections such as TB skin tests and/or vaccinations. Document information in patient records.
Qualifications:
Must have and provide certification for Medical Assistant Must have worked in a clinic or hospital setting Possess BLS card with valid expiration date Have a minimum of 1 years' experience, during the last three years, as a certified medical assistant.
