Administrative Medical Assistant OPA Behavioral Health - Bradenton, FL Full-Time | $19-$21/hour | In-Office Position | Spanish Bilingual Preferred About OPA Behavioral Health OPA Behavioral Health is a growing private psychiatry and behavioral health practice with multiple locations across Florida. Our team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care focused on long-term wellness and improved quality of life. Position Overview OPA Behavioral Health is seeking a professional, reliable, and patient-focused Administrative Medical Assistant to join our Bradenton office. This in-person role is essential to front office operations and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient patient experience. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in a medical office, psychiatry practice, behavioral health clinic, mental health office, or other healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients professionally and courteously Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules efficiently Answer and route incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries Review verified benefits information Maintain accurate patient records and EMR documentation Scan, upload, and organize medical records and clinical documents Collect co-pays and payments and reconcile daily transactions Assist with referrals and medical records requests Coordinate with providers regarding documentation completion Take basic vitals including height, weight, and blood pressure Provide Spanish/English translation support as needed (for Bilinguals) Maintain front office organization and supply inventory Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or Medical Administrative Assistant certification preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or behavioral health setting preferred Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical front office workflows Spanish bilingual preferred Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Why Join OPA Behavioral Health?
