Job Description

BILINGUAL
Medical Assistant | Clermont, FL | $19-$22/hour | Temp-Perm We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced clinical setting. This is a safety-sensitive role responsible for both administrative and clinical support, reporting directly to the Office Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for provider exams, collecting detailed history and vitals Document all information accurately in the EMR system Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures Administer medications (oral and injectable) and assist with in-office procedures Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., EKG, pulse oximetry, peak flow, inhalation treatments) Draw blood and process lab specimens for in-office or send-out labs Maintain sterilization and cleanliness of instruments and exam rooms Handle front desk operations: answering phones, appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out Provide patient education as instructed by the provider Assist with medication management, referrals, and care coordination Monitor and order medical supplies, office medications, and inventory Support onboarding and training of new team members Participate in phone-based outreach (medication & appointment reminders, transitional care calls) Assist in maintaining patient medical records in compliance with policies and regulations
Required Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited MA program Bilingual in English and Spanish required Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant Basic knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and medical coding Phlebotomy and IV start experience preferred Strong computer skills; experience with EMR systems Current CPR certification preferred
