Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Family Practice clinic in Clermont, Florida . This is an immediate opening for a motivated team member who enjoys working directly with patients and contributing to a smooth, efficient clinical workflow. Receptionist-to-MA candidates are welcome! If you are currently working as a receptionist and interested in transitioning into a Medical Assistant role, we are happy to train and support you as you learn the clinical responsibilities . The position can be structured as a combination of Front Desk/Receptionist and Medical Assistant duties during the transition. Responsibilities Administrative & Front Desk Duties Use and maintain patient information in the EMR system Share responsibilities with the Front Desk team Update and maintain accurate patient records Coordinate referrals and hospital follow-ups Assist with scheduling and other daily office operations as needed Clinical Duties Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Obtain and document vital signs and other clinical information Assist the physician during patient examinations Authorize prescription refills as directed by the physician Support the clinical team with day-to-day patient care and workflow What We're Looking For We value someone who is: Compassionate and patient-focused Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented A strong team player Comfortable learning new technology and EMR systems Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities Friendly and professional with excellent communication skills If you are looking for an opportunity to grow your healthcare career , develop your Medical Assistant skills, and become an important part of a caring Family Practice team, we would love to hear from you!
