Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare providers, ensuring the delivery of excellent care to our patients. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Facility Engagement
- Act as a community liaison between key stakeholders (nursing, sales, wellness, and leadership)
- Be attentive to the facility's needs and communicate back to the team. Patient Engagement
- Coordinate care between (specialists, therapy, home health, and other ancillary services)
- Assist with front desk duties, including appointment management, scheduling, and other related duties.
- Monthly outreach with residents/families to assess needs and coordinate care consistent with the provider's care plan.
- Connect patients with local/regional social support services. Clinical Functions
- Greet each patient, family member, and staff member with a smile.
- Take vital signs, room patients (if in a clinic), and help prepare them for their visit.
- Coordinate after-visit coordination
- Complete all diagnostic testing
- Manage and complete all quality assurance monitoring.
