Job Description

LAMAR Medical Center is a growing Primary Care practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to our community. We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience. Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for their visits Take and document vital signs Update patient medical information in the EMR/Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system preferred Assist providers during patient visits as needed Schedule appointments and assist with patient follow-up Answer phone calls and assist with front desk duties when necessary Maintain exam rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked Assist with basic clinical and administrative tasks Perform blood draws (phlebotomy) confidently and safely; previous phlebotomy experience required.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous experience in a medical office or Primary Care setting preferred Previous phlebotomy and blood draw experience required Basic computer and EMR skills Familiarity or experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is highly preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills Professional, dependable, and patient-focused Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Schedule:
Part-time; specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
