Job Description

Job Pediatrics of South Florida has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant. As an established and fast-growing practice, we are looking for a skilled, outgoing and reliable employee with experience in pediatrics to join our team. We are currently looking to fill a position for our Homestead location. Preference will be given to those applicants who have experience in pediatrics, urgent care centers, or related specialties. Job Duties and Skills
  • Provide initial patient evaluation
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean while sterilizing and disposing of contaminated supplies
  • Fulfill medical orders for treatments, prescription/refills, administration of medication, ancillary testing, and referrals
  • Maintain communication with hospitals to obtain results (lab and x-ray results)
  • Assist doctors in any necessary procedures (injections, removing sutures, etc.) and administer immunizations and medicine injections
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Maintain a professional demeanor along with a warm and welcoming bedside manner
  • Time management and ability to work well in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • MA diploma / Certification
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred Pay
