- The Medical Assistant serves as the first point of contact for patient care, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all individuals.
- Perform both clinical and administrative tasks to support efficient healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Engage in moderately complex operational and customer support assignments, contributing to the overall functionality of the healthcare center.
- Document patient symptoms accurately in electronic medical records and assist in maintaining comprehensive patient files.
- Administer injections, perform diagnostic tests, and collect specimens to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain examination rooms and sterilize equipment to uphold hygiene standards and patient safety.
- Collaborate closely with the Center Administrator and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless operations.

- Document patient symptoms and medical history in electronic medical records with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Take and record vital signs, ensuring all measurements are precise and properly logged.
- Administer injections and vaccines following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic tests and collect specimens, including blood draws, to support patient diagnosis.
- Sterilize medical equipment and maintain examination rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with medication and vaccine administration, adhering to healthcare regulations and standards.
- Support operational tasks and customer service assignments to enhance patient experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and operational efficiency. Medical Assistant Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credentials preferred, depending on state regulations.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration.
- CPR certification and compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements.
- Knowledge of
HEDIS, CPT/ICD
coding, andCAHPS/HOS
Patient Experience is advantageous.- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred for enhanced patient communication.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to support patient care and administrative tasks.
