Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Assist healthcare providers during procedures such as biopsies, injections, phlebotomy, and other clinical interventions Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses (ICD coding), and treatment plans Support medical administrative functions including appointment scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and medical record management Conduct basic laboratory tasks such as specimen collection and processing for tests like blood draws (phlebotomy) Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a welcoming environment Maintain clinical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and uphold infection control protocols in compliance with healthcare standards Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office setting with knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Familiarity with dermatology practices, hospital medicine, urgent care environments, or emergency medicine is highly desirable Ability to perform phlebotomy accurately and efficiently; inpatient or trauma center experience is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, ICD coding procedures, medication administration protocols, and medical documentation standards Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or outpatient clinics We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where your skills can flourish.
