Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing medical practice in Lake City, Florida. This role combines clinical support and front-office responsibilities , ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience from check-in to discharge. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment , can work under pressure, and is eager to grow professionally while supporting high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients professionally and manage patient intake and check-in processes Collect and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and current medications using EHR systems Assist providers during patient visits and basic clinical procedures Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as required Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms and clinical supplies Support administrative tasks including scheduling, answering phones, documentation, and patient flow coordination Verify patient insurance eligibility and assist with insurance validation processes Maintain accurate patient records and support basic ICD documentation as needed Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare-related role Experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist preferred Knowledge of basic clinical and administrative Medical Assistant duties Phlebotomy certification required Basic understanding of insurance verification and eligibility processes Familiarity with EHR systems Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Spanish is a plus (not required) Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and efficient service.
