Responsibilities:
- The Lab Medical Assistant II is responsible for: + Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing + Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens + Referring specimens to outside laboratories + Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests + Performance of phlebotomy procedures + Performs other duties as assigned
Experience:
- + Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field
Education:
- + Required High School or equivalent + Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience
Credentials:
- + Driver's License
- Credential equivalent experience:
- + Preferred Phlebotomy
