In this vital role, you will serve as a frontline supporter of patient care, providing essential clinical assistance in a medical office setting. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth clinic operations, enhance patient experiences, and support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care. You will be instrumental in fostering a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems). Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Support physicians and healthcare providers during procedures by handing instruments, preparing sterile fields, and assisting with minor treatments or wound care. Administer medications or injections following proper protocols and ensure proper documentation of all medication administration activities. Perform routine clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient correspondence and maintaining organized medical records. Ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment or surgical instruments used. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or specialized units such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding practices, and pharmacology to accurately support clinical workflows. Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and data management. Experience working in medical-surgical units or outpatient clinics that serve diverse populations including geriatrics or pediatric patients. Strong communication skills to provide excellent patient service while collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals.
