This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient communication. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for visits, obtaining medical histories and documenting concerns.
  • Assist providers with dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, phototherapy, and cosmetic treatments.
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
  • Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, wound care, bandaging, suture removal, and specimen handling.
  • Manage pathology specimens, properly labeling and preparing for laboratory submission.
  • Apply and educate patients on topical medications, dressings, and after-care instructions.
  • Enter and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, helping patients feel informed, supported, and comfortable. Qualifications and Skills
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.).
  • Previous dermatology or specialty medical experience highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dermatologic terminology, procedures, and common skin conditions.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
  • Commitment to patient privacy, safety, and high-quality care.
