Job Description

Full Time Medical Assistant for a busy Dermatology practice. Our practice is growing and we are adding an APRN to our team and need MA's to assist! •
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE
as a Medical Assistant•to apply. Knowledge of assisting in office surgery is a plus. Office location is 315 NW 138th Terrace, Newberry, FL 32669 (just west of Tioga Town Center on Newberry Road) Flexibility to work at our Chiefland location 410 N Main St, Suite 10, Chiefland

as needed is a plus! Duties include but are not limited to: Call patients to the exam room and enter medical history in EHR system. Assist in office surgeries for multiple Physicians Handle prior authorizations for medications and follow up Sterilize instruments, pack surgical cases and maintain autoclave log entry Administrative duties: handle prescription requests, answer questions/calls from patients, contact patients prior to surgery to remind them of arrival time and go over any instructions Order supplies and keep rooms stocked Call pathology results to patients and schedule office surgery Prepare surgery paperwork and have supplies organized and ready prior to patients arrival Must be able to handle fast paced office environment. Must be reliable, organized and a team player. Other duties as assigned

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
