Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for patients while supporting medical staff with essential clinical tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic efficiency. Collect patient vital signs, perform basic clinical assessments, and document medical histories accurately. Support medical staff with procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and procedure preparation when needed. Maintain organized medical records, ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters, and handle sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with intake processes including insurance verification, ICD coding, and updating medical documentation. Manage administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting medical office management activities. Requirements Prior experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in outpatient or hospital medicine environments.. Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy and Basic Life Support (BSL) are a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology to support clinical functions effectively. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and healthcare documentation practices. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and compassionately. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings. Bilingual preferred.
