Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status Assist with clinical procedures across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and geriatrics Support medication administration and basic life support (BLS) protocols to ensure patient safety during treatments Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Conduct diagnostic tasks such as X-ray imaging or assisting with ultrasound procedures in outpatient or hospital settings Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Requirements Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; prior experience in hospital medicine or clinic environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards for accurate recordkeeping Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers, emergency departments, or specialized units like PICU or OR is a plus Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as appointment scheduling and insurance documentation Ability to perform clinical duties including specimen collection, phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient care processes across diverse medical disciplines including medical-surgical, internal medicine, geriatrics, and urgent care settings Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in X-ray or emergency medicine are advantageous Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in high-pressure situations Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare experiences!
