$24.00/hour (W2) Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support both front-office and back-office clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will play a key role in delivering quality patient care by assisting with clinical procedures, patient intake, scheduling, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience providing comprehensive patient support. Responsibilities Greet and room patients in a professional and courteous manner. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information. Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen collection. Administer vaccines and assist with other clinical procedures as directed. Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits. Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries. Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Support both front-office and back-office workflows to ensure efficient clinic operations. Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards. Foster positive working relationships with patients, providers, and team members. Required Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience (externship experience does not qualify toward the minimum requirement). Previous experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting preferred. Certifications Current BLS or CPR Certification required. Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred. Required Skills Front-office and back-office medical assisting experience. Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience. EKG administration. Point-of-care (POC) testing. Patient scheduling and appointment coordination. Patient rooming and intake procedures. Vital signs collection and documentation. Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Preferred Qualifications Occupational Health experience. Strong computer proficiency and data entry skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Work Environment Outpatient healthcare setting. Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
