Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant with IV certification to join our in-office infusion team. This energetic role is vital in delivering exceptional patient care during outpatient infusion procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical procedures, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to support a fast-paced clinical environment. Your expertise will help us provide top-tier treatment experiences while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and protocols. Duties Prepare patients for infusion procedures by verifying identity, reviewing medical histories, and explaining the process clearly and confidently Administer intravenous (IV) infusions safely and accurately, following established protocols and maintaining sterile technique Monitor patients throughout the infusion process, observing vital signs, assessing comfort levels, and responding promptly to any adverse reactions Assist with patient intake, including collecting vital signs, updating medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and documenting procedures thoroughly Support physicians and nurses with clinical tasks such as medication administration, ICD coding for billing purposes, and basic physiology assessments Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies, and adhering to infection control standards Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring a positive experience during outpatient visits Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinic settings placing IV; with Rheumatology, Primary Care or Infectious Disease. Certification in IV therapy with demonstrated proficiency in medication administration via IV routes Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices for accurate billing and record keeping Hands-on experience with vital signs monitoring, patient intake procedures, and basic X-ray or imaging support preferred and iv placement. Background working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency departments enhances your ability to handle urgent situations effectively Experience supporting diverse populations including geriatrics, internal medicine patients, or those in medical-surgical environments is advantageous Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding outpatient care through skilled clinical support.
