Job Description

Overview Seeking Certified Medical Assistant for busy Internal Medicine Office. Must have a minimum of 2 years back-office experience. This position is a Monday - Thursday work week (average 36 + hours per week). E Clinical Works experience is a plus. Salary dependent on experience but starts at $16 per hour. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support to medical provider, assist with patient intake, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in clinical procedures and administrative support will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining high standards of safety and quality care. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assist providers in assessing patient health status Assist with clinical tasks like medication administration, specimen collection, wound dressing Assist providers during examinations and procedures ensuring patient comfort and safety Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and procedural notes following healthcare regulations Manage medical administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, patient registration,medication and procedural prior authorizations, and managing incoming calls Requirements Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program; current certification required 2 years experience in clinic or hospital settings; experience in internal medicine/geriatrics is highly desirable Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and ICD coding standards to accurately document patient encounters Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient data entry and retrieval; E Clinical Works experience is a plus Ability to perform clinical skills such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification required Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to handle fast-paced environments with professionalism and compassion Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in healthcare!
