Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a vocational or other technical school with training or apprenticeship. Position requires a well-integrated level of technical knowledge and education equivalent to 1-2 years of college in the field. Minimum of 1 year of related work experience or completed an accredited Medical Assistant program with completion of an externship is required Certified Medical Assistant or Registry certification is required BLS/CPR certification is required Candidate must also be proficient and possess current working knowledge in the use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet. Communication skills, both written and verbal, inter-personal and organizational skills are also required. Physical Description:
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. EOE
