Job Description

We are looking for a medical receptionist/medical assistant for physician's office in Saint Augustine and Palm Coast, FL. This is a part time position with flexible hours starting at 10-15 hours a week with potential for more . We prefer candidates who can work in the front desk and also back office if possible . Experience (preferably recent) in ambulatory settings (such as physician's office) or Hospital, good computer skills, familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Record), and good typing skills are encouraged. Knowledge in Microsoft Office (such as Microsoft Word, and others) is a plus. Reliable Transportation is required. Short distance travel is required . Background check is required prior to employment.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
  • Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details
  • Assist with patient registration and intake processes
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
  • Perform basic medical administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns or questions
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Familiarity with basic life support procedures (preferred)
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
