Position Summary The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care and smooth office operations. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing a high patient volume, multitasking, and assisting with a wide range of OB/GYN procedures and patient needs. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Obtain and document patient vital signs, including accurate manual blood pressure readings Room patients and complete comprehensive patient histories Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and minor in-office surgeries Process prescription refill requests Communicate laboratory, pathology, and cytology results to patients Patient Care & Communication Provide telephone triage and patient support Schedule and coordinate patient care in a high-volume practice Maintain professional and compassionate communication with patients and providers Administrative Duties Complete FMLA and related patient forms Manage faxing, medical records, and other administrative tasks Support daily office operations as needed Accurately document patient information in eClinicalWorks (eCW) Qualifications Required Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting. Strong phlebotomy skills. Proficiency in obtaining manual blood pressure readings. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume medical practice. Reliable, professional, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Preferred OB/GYN experience is a plus but not required . We welcome applicants from family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, urgent care, or other medical specialties. Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred but not required. Knowledge of OB/GYN medical terminology, laboratory testing, pathology, and cytology is a plus.
