Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. This individual is responsible for supporting the clinical component of the practice which includes support of the providers, team members and administrative team with the delivery of exceptional quality care for the patients.Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of the clinical patient's daily schedule.
- Responsible for interviewing patients and updating their medical records.
- Creating new patient profiles to be maintained in the practice's EMR.
- Assist healthcare providers with various tasks, involving preparation of examination rooms, interviewing patients, taking patient vitals and supporting providers with in-office procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
- Responsible for completion of medication prior authorizations, when required.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting in a medical office or clinic.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing exceptional patient service.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Athena EMR experience required.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
