The Opportunity We are looking for an energetic and experienced Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. This is a full-time position working a Wednesday through Saturday schedule, offering a great work-life balance with a long weekend built right in. If you thrive in a high-energy clinical setting and love making a real difference for patients when they need it most, we want to hear from you. This is a dual-role position. The right candidate will be comfortable moving seamlessly between clinical back-office duties and front desk responsibilities as clinic needs require. Versatility and a team-first mindset are essential. What You Will Do Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments Perform and process drug screenings in accordance with established protocols Administer injections, perform EKGs, and conduct point-of-care testing Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW) Support the front desk and check-in process including patient registration, insurance verification, and co-pay collection Ensure smooth patient flow from arrival through discharge Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and ready between patients Deliver a warm, professional experience to every patient who walks through our doors What We Are Looking For Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in an urgent care or fast-paced clinical setting Working knowledge of front desk and patient check-in processes — this role requires comfort and confidence in both the front and back of the clinic Familiarity with drug screening collection and chain-of-custody protocols Proficiency or working knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-volume environment Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus and strongly valued in our community What We Offer Competitive pay commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Opportunities for growth within a thriving multi-specialty group A schedule that gives you Sundays through Tuesdays off every week AssociatesMD is an equal opportunity employer.
