8-5 pm but may vary Job Overview A family practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. The Medical Assistant will be required to support both Adult and Pediatric patients. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures. Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for patients as needed. Provide education to patients regarding their health and wellness. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant. Knowledge of anatomy, vital signs assessment, and patient care protocols is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology related to internal medicine, dermatology, and geriatrics is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and team members. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory.
