Job Description
Job Summary Quality Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in various medical settings such as urgent care, outpatient clinics, or hospital medicine is highly valued. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure accurate medication records Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and coding (ICD coding) Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Support emergency medicine protocols when necessary, including basic life support procedures Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries. Be able to work on rotating weekends Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare role preferred Experience in urgent care or hospital settings Ability to perform clinical tasks such as X-ray assistance and medication administration Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations A commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Patient Interaction:
Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.Administrative Support:
Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork. Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Skills:
Fluent in Spanish and English Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.Excellent Benefit Package Includes:
