Position Overview SlimFit Wellness Center is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Sarasota, Florida team full-time. We are a growing medical wellness and longevity practice specializing in medical weight management, hormone optimization, IV therapy, regenerative and wellness services, and medical aesthetics . The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive health and wellness, provides exceptional patient care, and thrives in a professional, fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Welcome patients and provide a professional, compassionate, and positive experience throughout their visit. Obtain and document patient medical histories, medication information, vital signs, weight, and other appropriate clinical information. Prepare patients for examinations, consultations, and treatments. Assist physicians and other licensed providers with medical weight management, hormone optimization/TRT, peptide and wellness therapies, and other services offered by the practice. Administer injections, medications, and other treatments as permitted by Florida law, within the Medical Assistant's training and scope, and under appropriate provider direction/supervision. Assist with IV therapy workflow and patient preparation within the MA's permitted scope of practice. Support aesthetic procedures through room preparation, patient preparation, supplies, documentation, and post-treatment instructions as directed by the provider. Reinforce provider-directed education regarding treatment plans, medications, nutrition, wellness, and healthy lifestyle recommendations. Observe patients during treatments and promptly report clinical concerns or changes in patient condition to the appropriate licensed provider. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR), patient information, and clinical documentation. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, bloodborne-pathogen, and clinic safety policies and procedures. Prepare, clean, disinfect, and restock treatment and examination rooms. Monitor medical supplies and clinical inventory and communicate replenishment needs. Assist with scheduling, patient communication, follow-up, and other clinical or administrative responsibilities as needed. Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other team members to maintain efficient daily operations. Deliver exceptional customer service consistent with SlimFit's high standard of patient care. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred . Medical Assistant certification/registration preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification preferred. Experience in medical weight management, wellness, primary care, endocrinology, hormone therapy, IV therapy, or medical aesthetics is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills and experience working with electronic medical records (EMR). Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced medical practice.
