Job Description

Medical Assistant | South Venice, FL | $18-$22/hour |
TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT
Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support clinical and front-desk operations. This safety-sensitive role involves direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with providers to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, take vitals, update EMR with history & medications Assist provider with exams, procedures, and treatments Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, in-office diagnostics & CLIA-waived labs Administer medications, start/monitor IVs (if certified) Provide patient education and follow-up calls Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize equipment Handle front desk tasks: phones, scheduling, check-in/out, referrals Track inventory and order medical/office supplies Train new team members as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Medical Assistant certification preferred 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant CPR certification preferred; IV and phlebotomy experience a plus EMR and basic computer proficiency (Google Suite, Microsoft Office) Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 15 lbs Manual dexterity and visual/auditory acuity Reliable transportation required
