Job Description

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of medical assistant. We are a comprehensive, service-driven plastic surgery & dermatology practice located in Indian River Shores. We are looking for a full time medical assistant to assist in our office regarding clinic duties. This position will be charged with maintaining and supporting all clinical workflow within the office. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Escorting patients from the reception area to examination and procedure rooms Collecting Medical Data, including basic vital signs for specific patients Maintenance of Medical Record, and compliance with ongoing Meaningful Use Documentation Requirements Entering clinical data into EMR Assist the surgeons, physician assistants, nursing, and all other clinical staff in performance of any/all procedures and examinations Assist with surgical procedures, setting up and maintaining sterile fields, including skin excisions, biopsies, MOHS, cryotherapy, etc. Assist with aesthetic procedures, including Botox, Dermal fillers, Radiesse, Xeomin, and multiple laser platforms Assist with surgical procedures, setting up and maintaining sterile fields Taking of Pre & Post Injectable, Pre & Post Surgical, Dermatologic patient photos Escort patient to check out counter Have a working, functional knowledge of all procedures provided Reasonably engage in spa and promotional events as they arise. Assist with answering patient questions and telephone calls. Assist with supply order chain for clinic supplies.
Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant preferred, but not required Certified Phlebotomist preferred, but not required General hours required in this position include later evening hours on certain weekdays to satisfy increases in patient volume. This position will be cross-trained regarding our plastics, spa and dermatology services, and will actively participate in all clinical activities. Customer service of the finest quality is the only acceptable standard. We have a great team of people, and are hoping to add another friendly, qualified face to our team.
