Job Description

We are excited to have you join our team! We are state-of-the-art, medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology clinic. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced dermatologists, and to be involved in patient care firsthand. Duties include but not limited to: Greet patients, room patients, and obtain history, medications, allergy, and identify reason of visit Scribe in EMR and document physical exam findings, complete medical notes in a timely fashion Assist in minor procedures such as I&D, LN2, ILK, biopsy Assist in cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels, neurotoxins, fillers Assist in surgeries such as excisions and Mohs micrographic surgery Maintain biopsy log, ensure specimen label and requisition accuracy Apply bandage, wound care, suture removal Obtain prior authorization for medications and biologics Perform sterile techniques, sterilize instruments, maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, operating rooms, and clinic space. Discard biohazard containers, recycle, discard trash bags Account for and restock medical supplies Answer patient phone calls, assist provider in refilling prescription Notify patients of lab and pathology results, and schedule for treatment accordingly Cross covering some front desk duties as requested for this position, which duties may include but is not limited to greet and welcome patients; check in/ check out patients; verify insurance; organize and facilitate patient referrals; answer phone calls in a timely fashion; schedule and confirm appointments; collect copay, deductible, coinsurance, other fees; maintain lobby, waiting room, and clinic space cleanliness; facilitate opening and closing of clinic; account for and restock products and inventory
Hours:
Normal business hours are between Monday through Friday; occasional optional Saturday. •Please note the estimated hours per week is projected to average around 30-35 hours per week. •Single location - no traveling required
Experience:
At least 2 years dermatology MA experience
PREFERRED
Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, and surgical technician experience is a plus Spanish fluency is a plus Customer service experience preferred
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$15.00 - $23.00 per hour
