Job Description

Position:
Medical Assistant Reports to: Clinic Manager Position Overview The Medical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the clinic physician according to the medical protocol set forth by Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. Under general direction, provides patient care: obtains patient's vitals; administers IM & SQ injections; conducts urinalysis, ECG, body composition, and phlebotomy; documents patients' progress; and assists with patient care management. The environment is fast-paced, and the position is multifaceted. Key Responsibilities As a Medical Assistant, you'll be a vital part of our mission, blending clinical expertise with front office efficiency to deliver outstanding patient experiences.
Your role will include:
Clinical Duties:
Perform essential clinical tasks such as taking patient vitals, conducting ECGs, and performing phlebotomy with precision and care Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections Prepare laboratory order forms Retrieve and review patient lab results to support seamless care Document patient progress in charts and/or EMR systems with accuracy Conduct follow-up calls to monitor patient progress and provide empathetic support Take on additional clinical responsibilities as needed to ensure top-tier patient care
Administrative Duties:
Manage a multi-line phone system, efficiently routing calls and addressing inquiries Deliver exceptional patient service by greeting patients warmly and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment Support clinic operations by monitoring inventory levels for clinical and office supplies Perform daily scanning and uploading of patient documents to maintain organized records Train colleagues on daily procedures as directed by the office manager or physician. Contribute to clinic marketing initiatives to drive profitability and promote our mission
Other Skills/Abilities:
Motivational counseling/advising skills Must be able to multi-task, apply critical thinking skills, and provide highest level of customer service at all levels of the operation Interpersonal / human relations skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work with as part of the clinic team and corporate structure Requirements Medical assisting license is preferred but not required
