Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant Full Time Endocrinology Practice in Winter Garden, FL We are looking for a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable medical assistant to work in a busy endocrinology practice. Full time hours. Bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Take vitals to include blood pressure, heart rate, and weight Update medical history to include but not limited to medication list, reason for visit, and patient's past medical history and family history Perform a complete review of systems Prepare charts and call for results of labs and diagnostic imaging prior to patient visit Perform prior authorization for medications Call patients with results of testing and/or recommendations from doctor/PA Call in prescriptions upon request The following experience and skills are important: High school diploma Completion of an approved medical assistant program is preferred but not requires Speaks English; Spanish - preferred but not required Able to work efficiently with out EMR Works well with others in a professional manner Takes accountability for own actions Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and other professionals Can follow through with orders. Adheres to Attendance Policy Performs other related duties as necessary.
